IT Recycling:

The WEEE Directive, which came into force in July 2007, requires that all waste electrical equipment from a commercial source is collected and recycled separately from all other commercial waste. WEEE is defined as any item which requires an independent power source – (battery or a plug).

We provide a fully compliant waste collection service for all non-hazardous and hazardous waste IT equipment.

We will provide all relevant paperwork required to ensure that all collections are carried out in full compliance with all applicable legislation and we can if required assist you with Environment Agency Premises Registration codes.

When having your hazardous waste collected it is paramount it is moved on a consignment note (Hazardous Waste Note). This is a legal requirement, the reasons for this is outlined below:

a. Where has the waste been collected from.

b. Who has collected the waste (are they licensed to do so).

c. Where is the waste being taken to (Redundant Refrigeration & Tv's / PC Monitors must be processed by an Approved Authorised Treatment Facility).

d. What process is being used to recover / recycle the waste.

e. Paper trail for the Environment Agency to check the collection & disposal are fully compliant.

We are achieving 95% recovery of redundant refrigeration equipment.

Recycling rates are in excess of 99.8% for TV's, Computer Monitors, CRT's & Oscilloscopes.
